Columns/Beams

Columns are produced as either rectangular with sides in whole decimetres or as cylindrical
with diameters in whole decimetres. Beams are joined to columns by attaching the beam
directly to the top of a column or to integrated brackets cast in concrete or steel.

They are fastened to the base structure by protruding main reinforcements, or steel feet for bolted joints.
The length and dimensions of the reinforcement determine the gripping loads that occur.

Both the width and height dimensions of a beam or column section are based on whole decimetres.

Support beams, single or double sided, are produced with a standard ledge width of 150 mm.
Their height depends on the beam's dimensions and load.
