Rigging Supervisors and Crane Operators for the Demag CC-2800The Cranes Division of the Kynningsrud Group will have a turnover of 250 million kroner in 2006
and is made up of Kynningsrud Kran Norway and Kynningsrud Kran Sweden. 120 mobile cranes with a capacity of up to 600 tons, lifting jacks, heavy lift systems and transport equipment make Kynningsrud Kran one of the foremost companies in Scandinavia for lifting and moving structures. 180 service minded employees help carry out over a thousand lifts every single day throughout Sweden and Norway. To us the border between Norway and Sweden is just a dotted line on the map. Kynningsrud Kran is seeking to employ two teams made up of four crane operators for the Demag CC-2800. Two of the operators will have primary responsibility for rigging (rigging supervisors) and two will have primary responsibility for the lift itself and the crane (crane operators). Operations will be carried out by teams of two persons working together and they must be able to help out with each other's jobs as required. We are looking ideally for one team from Sweden and one from Norway. When the new crane is not in operation or there is not a requirement for personnel, the successful candidates should be able to operate other cranes within Kynningsrud Kran Norway and Sweden. The main area of employment will be in Sweden and Norway. Rigging Supervisors It will be the task of the rigging supervisor to carry out inspection and preparatory work before the lift itself. This includes internal organisation of vehicles and cranes for transportation of crane equipment as well as carrying out the rigging/derigging to the highest safety standards. Candidates should have logistical and supervisory abilities, as well as extensive experience with mobile cranes. The position will naturally include working closely with the crane operator during the lifting process. Crane Operators The crane operator will have primary responsibility for computer preparation of all lifts and delivering an approved lifting plan before the lift itself is executed. The crane operator will work with the rigging supervisor to create a perfect team for the efficient and safe execution of their duties from rigging until the completion of the lift itself. Day to day maintenance and taking care of equipment is an important part of the position. Long and extensive experience with different types of mobile crane is essential. The crane and its equipment will be delivered during the week commencing 14th August and will immediately commence contracted work in central Sweden. Training will be given during several visits to Terex Demag in Germany. Written applications before 1st May.
