Goal
All departments in the Kynningsrud Group aim to be the best with respect to Health, Safety and the Environment (HSE). An injury free company is of the highest priority for Kynningsrud.

Basic principle
At all levels in the organisation our aim is to follow basic principles, where HSE takes priority, even over operations and the economy of the company. Our assignments are to be carried out with the highest level of safety and quality.

KYNNINGSRUD PREFAB IS FOCUSING STRONGLY ON FALL PROTECTION

Falling from heights represents huge security risks, if the person falling has not followed the security regulations. But even though the regulations are being followed, acute behavior is necessary to save people after falling down.

HSE-responsible at Kynningsrud Prefab, Rolf Christiansen, has during winter travelled from site to site in order to going through the regulation for using fall protection equipment with the employees.
- We have most of all focused on two very important things to think about after a falling accident, he tells.
- First of all, never lay anyone down after a falling accident! The person must sit upright to be stailized. Then remember, always to call an ambulance, he continues.
The safety regulations are set in co-operation with the company health service.

Better access to the first aid equipment
To improve the site safety, the site equipment containers that goes with the erecting manager have become water proof first aid safes and a safety robe available for everybody. The rope is only to be used in case of accidents and shall always be available.

From making HSE an equal status compared to operation management and financial results, we have now reached a higher level concerning job safety at the Kynningsrud Group. Now, we focus on HSE first - then on the operation management and the financial results.
