ABOUT THE KYNNINGSRUD GROUP

Competent and motivated staff is our trademark and we are enthusiastic about the prospects for 2010.

We believe in positive market growth and are positioning ourselves by enhancing our expertise and developing new ideas. Events have shown that we tend to emerge stronger from recessions.

The Kynningsrud Group’s primary market is Norway and Sweden. The border is just a dotted line on the map that gives us an opportunity to offer our overall resources to a wider market.

Cranes
Through the jointly owned holding company Nordic Crane Group, Kynningsrud Kran and Stangeland Kran are market leaders in Scandinavia. The organisation comprises 430 employees and 300 mobile and truck-mounted cranes. It is anticipated that turnover in 2010 will exceed NOK 800 million. Our competence and our resources enable us to undertake all types of projects and lifting assignments in Scandinavia.

Prefab
For over 30 years, we have focused on providing concrete elements and steel structures for buildings. Since 1997, we have run our own production plants in Uddevalla and Fredrikstad. Kynningsrud Prefab utilises the latest and best production equipment the market has to offer, and this, together with our enthusiastic organisation, assures our customers of safe and reliable deliveries.

Foundations
For many years, Kynningsrud Fundamentering has been a market leader in Norway, carrying out foundation work for everything from detached houses to the largest and most complex projects. It is a flexible organisation with long traditions and extensive experience of all types of foundation projects throughout Norway, from the south to the high north.

Real Estate
Kynningsrud Eiendom develops and organises building projects through its own and collaborating companies in Norway and Sweden. Kynningsrud Eiendom has developed into an important business area for the Kynningsrud Group.

The company’s profile is signal green!
Our fundamental strategy is to become leaders in the Scandinavian market, while giving priority to HSE before operations and finance.

KYNNINGSRUD KRAN TRANSPORTS HUGE TANK

Project Department of Kynningsrud faucet has moved and put in place a tank that weighs 160 tons. The tank was transported from the manufacturer on the norwegian west coast to the customer in Sarpsborg.

This tank is an accumulator that will contain the high pressure of steam. Its walls are 9 cm thick and the tank itself is 17 meters long with 5 m diameter.

The accumulator came by sea from the manufacturer on the norwegian west coast via Holland to Sarpsborg.
In order to get the tank lifted from the boat and onto our new heavy-duty trailer, we had to hire a 400-ton floating crane. Then it was transported by road to its base. A 500- and a 300-tonne mobile crane as well as a crane truck was required to lift the tank off the trailer again.

Such a project requires careful planning in advance. Project Manager at Kynningsrud Kran AS, Erik Johannessen, was very pleased with the execution of the project.
